So apparently, Major Lazer is a collab between big-time producer Diplo and Switch that is, according to Diplo, "like digital reggae and dancehall from Mars in the future, pop culture run through a Jamaican filter!" It's definitely... interesting, but to be honest, it's kind of hard to listen to. The only reason we're posting "Lazer Boom 1," which is a sort of megamix of different tracks from Major Lazer's upcoming album Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do (okay, now that's phenomenal) is because they sampled... THE BABY! That's right, take a listen here, and then hit play on the track below and see if you hear any similarities.
